Welcome to the Florida International Carpenters Apprenticeship

We don’t just teach carpentry—we build careers. Our apprenticeship program is for people who want more than just a job. It’s for those ready to learn by doing, work hard, get paid, and build a future in the skilled trades—without student loans or guesswork.

Whether you’re just starting out, transitioning from military service, returning to the workforce, or looking to give back or hire quality talent—there’s a place for you here.

Apply as an Apprentice

Earn while you learn. This 4-year state-recognized apprenticeship offers hands-on job experience, 8,000 hours of on-the-job training, and 576 hours of classroom instruction. You’ll work on high-security, high-profile federal projects—like NASA, Space Force, and military bases—while training toward a Journeyman certification.

Volunteer Your Wisdom

Retired carpenters and skilled tradespeople: we need you. Whether it’s teaching once a month or mentoring regularly, you can shape the next generation of builders. We provide structure—you bring the knowledge. Your experience deserves to be passed on.

Veterans Welcome

From uniform to toolbelt—we’ve got a path for you. Our program offers veterans a solid career transition, structure, and full-time pay from the start. You’ll train and work on secure federal jobs while earning the credentials to become a Journeyman.

Become a Participating Employer

Contractors and business owners: if you need dependable, trained labor—join the group. As a participating employer in our GNJ-sponsored program, you gain access to motivated apprentices who are learning in the classroom and producing in the field. It’s a win-win for workforce development and your bottom line.
