Program Overview – Florida International Carpenters Apprenticeship Training Program
The Florida International Carpenters Apprenticeship Training Program is a four-year, state-recognized apprenticeship designed to prepare individuals for a successful, lifelong career in the skilled trades—without the burden of student debt. We combine structured classwork with real jobsite experience, giving you the tools to earn, learn, and grow.
As a registered apprenticeship under a GNJ sponsor and supported by our nonprofit training organization, this program places you directly into meaningful, hands-on work on some of the most exciting and secure jobs in the country—ranging from NASA facilities and military bases to government infrastructure and aerospace installations.
What You’ll Learn
Apprentices train in both technical knowledge and practical carpentry, completing approximately 4 hours of classwork per week. Classes are offered online and in-person to support your schedule, and all instruction is aligned with state and federal requirements for certification.

Duration:
- 4-Year Program
- 208 hours of classroom instruction per year (online and in-person)
- 2,000 hours of on-the-job training per year
What You’ll Earn:
As an apprentice, you’ll earn a paycheck from day one. Wages increase as your skills grow. Upon completion, you’ll receive a Journeyman Certificate—recognized across the industry and often required for higher-paying federal or government projects.
